Carol Ann (Semprich) Michel, 86, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday evening, August 19, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center after an unexpected illness.

Carol was born April 14, 1939, in Sandusky, to the late Anthony and Rita (Kuns) Semprich.

Carol attended Holy Angels Elementary and graduated with Class of 1957 from St. Mary's High School. She worked at Pick-N-Pay and The House of Donuts before retiring from Toft's Dairy, where she dedicated many years to the accounts receivable department. Carol enjoyed reading, baking, and continuing to learn through adult education classes. She loved cheering on Cleveland's sports teams, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her children, whom were her pride and joy, Darren (Andrea) Michel of Castalia, Todd (Lynn) Michel of Huron, Jason (Jessica) Michel of Sandusky, and Chad Michel of Bellevue; six grandchildren, Nick, Barbara, Alexandrea, Spencer, Braden and Evan. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Freuler of California; two brothers, Paul Semprich of Sandusky and Mark Semprich of Bayview; former husband and friend, Jerry Michel; special niece, Colleen Barry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her first husband, Eddy Gochenour; son, Richard Gochenour in 2017; four sisters, Patty Nickles, Judy Byington, Kathy Semprich and Lillian Semprich.

Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to celebrate Carol's life at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
