Carl M. Veith Sr., 91, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born March 19, 1934, in Defiance, to Carl A. and Laverne C. (Osborn) Veith. He was a graduate of Toledo Libbey High School.

Upon graduation, Carl went to work right away for AT&T, where he was an installer for 42 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Norwalk First United Methodist Church, and Norwalk Eagles Club 711.

Carl was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and cruising with his wife, Kathy. He was a wonderful provider and family man.

He will be fondly remembered and missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy (Gorman) Veith; children, Tina (John) Harman, Tonya Bricker, Michael (Sherri) Veith, Eric (Cheryl) Everman, and Michael (Victoria) Everman; daughter-in-law, Donna Veith; son-in-law, Walt Speelman; sister, Suzie Martin; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Carl and Laverne Veith, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Jr.; daughter, Kelley Speelman; son-in-law, Jim Bricker; and brother, John Veith.

Visitation for Carl will be from 10 a.m.- noon Friday, February 20, 2026, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral service will begin at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Edward Kovacik officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
