Burt Allen Rollin, 93, of Huntington, died Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Elms in Wellington.
Burt was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Penfield, the son of the late Glenn and Treva (nee Jackson) Rollin. He graduated from Sullivan High School in 1947.
All his life, Burt exemplified the traits of a farmer and enjoyed his work. He also installed drainage tile for farmers around the area. Burt was a member of Grange, Historical Society, United Church of Huntington, and was a Huntington Township Trustee as well as a school board member for Black River Schools.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred (nee Ott) Green Rollin, whom he married in 1982; children, Donna (Ted) Mielke, Barb (Howard) Quast, and Russ (Becky) Rollin; daughter-in-law, Vicki Rollin; stepchildren, Dawn Green and Debra (Bill) Freshwater; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Edith Brownson of Ashland and Virginia Kish of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (nee Coe); son, Al; siblings, James Rollin, John "Jack" Rollin, and Marian Bigelow; and granddaughter, Jessica Quast.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at United Church of Huntington, 26677 State Route 58. Burt's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the church. Burial will follow at Huntington Cemetery.

I Was a township trustee at the same time as Burt. Sometimes when the going got tough, Burt would say someting totally off the wall that, would garner a laugh and help make things workable. He was always a kind and wonderful human being. Will always remember him on the "Old Red IH Farmalls". The world needs more people like Burt! RIP Burt!
