Brian Young Obituary

Brian M. Young

Nov 11, 1970 - May 12, 2024

Norwalk

Brian M. Young, 53, of Norwalk, died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after an unexpected medical emergency.

He was born Nov. 11, 1970, in Norwalk, to Kail (Holmes) and Darryl Young. Brian was a graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. He obtained an associate's degree from Terra Community College and furthered his education at Firelands.

Brian was a man of strong faith who loved his family, had a desire to learn new things, enjoyed movies, walks with his dog, trips and vacations, and buying snacks, sunglasses, and safari hats. Brian was also dedicated in serving his faith by volunteering his time with A.C.O.R.N Ministry (a Christian organization with a vision built on faith-based principles led by his friend, Herman Robinson). He worked at several places, but was a molding operator at the former Ford plant in Sandusky.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Elizabeth (Scavuzzo) Young; children, Brianna (Kyle) Barman and Emma Young; parents, Kail (Darryl) Young; mother and father-in-law, Betty (Roger) Dickman; siblings, Cindy (Michael) Conney, Jeff (Tracy) Young, and Stacy (John) Celata; brother in-law, Scott (Deb) Scavuzzo; sister in-law, Dawn (James) Kirby; and life-long friend and mentor, Herman Robinson.

Brian was preceded in death by Elizabeth's father, Robert Scavuzzo.

Public funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. Mass will be preceded by a eulogy from Herman Robinson at 9 a.m. and prayers with the family before Mass at the funeral home. Burial will follow Mass at St. Paul Cemetery.

Brian was in our daughter's 1989 class at St. Paul. But I got to know him thru Elizabeth&our furniture donation to Miriam House. Brian&Elizabeth came to our home and together they collected the items. I think of them often.....keeping them both in prayer and knowing they will be reunited as promised. May your faith make the memories that bring tears now, turn to comfort and smiles. God Bless and keep you!!
