Brenda Crawford (née Harvey), 75, woke up in Heaven on Monday, July 8, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born April 15, 1949, in New London. Brenda was a beloved figure in her community and a devoted wife, mom, and grandma.
Brenda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of almost 57 years, Harry Crawford; children, Laura Ayers (Brian), Robert Crawford (Melinda), and Matiece Thomas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lois Kosic and Debbie Sherman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Junie Harvey; and sisters, Diane Hall and Claudette Shepherd.
Brenda enjoyed spending quality time with her family, which was her greatest joy and primary hobby. She was a member of Barrett's Chapel, where she loved to serve the Lord with her church family. Her smiling face and warm greetings will be missed by all.
Services to honor Brenda's life will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024, at First Baptist Church in New London. The service will commence at 4 p.m., followed by an open house meal.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a contribution to the New London LifeWise Academy, an organization close to Brenda's heart. Brenda's warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
