Betty J. Wise, 84, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

She was born May 12, 1939, in West Virginia, to Jesse and Wilda (Copley) Cooley.

Betty loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. She never met a cat she didn't like… domestic or stray. She was a good cook and was once an avid bowler and enjoyed taking day trips with her husband, Ronald. She was a former member of Norwalk Eagles and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the Senior Center in Norwalk, and with several Alzheimer's groups. She drove a school bus for Norwalk City Schools for 30 years.

Betty's survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald Wise; daughter, Tammy Montgomery; sons, Tim (Michelle) Wise and Todd (Tina) Wise; grandchildren, Justina (Dalton) Hall, Cassidy (Eric) Haas, and Brandon and Erin Wise; great-grandchildren, Sasha, Zach, and Adalynn Haas, and Kendall and Tessa Hall; sisters, Judy Workman and Diane Merritt; brother, Tab Cooley; sister in-law, Marilyn Lau; and "baby girl," (cat) Frosty.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dottie Varney; brother, Bruce Cooley; sister-in-law, Norma Wise; and brother-in-law, Fred Lau.

Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Private burial will take place at a later date.
