Betty R. (Sallee) Sparkman, 80, of Willard, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
She was born April 14, 1944, in Gauge, Kentucky, to Lexie Sallee and Goldie (Eldridge) Tidswell.
Betty went to Providence School of Nursing and spent many years working as an RN. In her free time, she could be found reading or doing oil paintings. She took pride in her gardening with all different types of flowers, and plants. Betty was a crafty soul who made her own jewelry and clothing as a seamstress.
Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Haulie Sparkman of Willard; daughter, Julie (Steven) Trumpler of Huron; two grandchildren, Morgan and Preston of Huron; sister, Ann (Jim) Polachek of Willard; two brothers, Charles (Darlene) Sallee of Elyria and Ronnie Sallee of Willard; and special niece, Brandi (Tommy) Gayheart; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Gene Sallee.
There will be a private family service at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
