Bernard A. Linden, 80, passed away suddenly at his home Tuesday, August 5, 2025. He was born July 31, 1945, in Elyria, to Raymond J. and Laura J. (nee McWilliam) Linden. He graduated from Midview High School in 1963, where he was active in FFA raising sheep. He joined the US Navy after graduating and served for three years, mainly stationed on Midway Island in the Pacific. He then became a truck driver for most of his employment. Upon retirement, he raised rabbits as a hobby.

He was married to Sandra (nee Shepard), who preceded him in death in 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James A. (Diane) in 2014 and Craig R. (Shirley) in 2016; as well as a son, Scott D. (2023) of Arizona.

Bernard is survived by three children, Raymond A. (Tony) of Florida, Elizabeth A. (Allen) of Florida, and Donald E. (Lisa) of Arizona; sisters, Catherine Choma and Barbara Scheuvront, both of Elyria. He had 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

His children are hosting a memorial service where lunch will be served Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 55 Whittlesey Ave., Norwalk.

Cremation was handled by Cowling Funeral Home, Oberlin.
