Barbara Waggoner, 79, of Willard, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, in Toledo.
She was born April 20, 1943, in New Knoxville, to Robert and Ruth (Settlage) Bambauer. She graduated from Bowling Green State University and was a Speech and Language Pathologist at Willard City Schools for over 30 years. She was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church, Willard, and recently had been attending Willard Christian Reformed Church, Celeryville. Barbara was a member of Research Club and Huron County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, baking, playing scrabble, and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Waggoner, whom she married Oct. 15, 1967; two sons, John Waggoner II of Attica and Joseph (Yen) Waggoner of Plainfield, Illinois; two grandchildren, McKenzie (Drew) Rosemond and Joshua Waggoner (Cassie Morales); great-granddaughter, Nora Rosemond; siblings, Wayne (Nancy) Bambauer, Mary (Dean) Deerhake, and Suzanne Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Bambauer; brother, Roger (Carolyn) Bambauer; sister, Wanda (William) Deter; and brother-in-law, Don Murphy.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Willard Christian Reformed Church, Celeryville. Barbara's memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Katie Rivera-Torea officiating.
Secor Funeral Home, Willard, is assisting family with arrangements.
