Barbara Jean (Preston) Rogers, 63, of Plymouth, and formerly of Norwalk, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, at Regency West Hospital in Cleveland. She was born Oct. 10, 1961, in Norwalk to Alfred and Leona Preston.
She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1980, where she met her lifelong friend and companion, Maria Temple. She worked several years as a medical secretary. She also worked at Berry Plastics where she met her husband and love of her life, Johnnie Rogers. "Bean" was an extraordinary aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews. She loved the ocean, traveling, and was a passionate fan of Kenny Chesney, Grey's Anatomy, and a lifelong collector of all things Barbie.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Leona; her husband, Johnnie; and her fur babies, Angelo, 5-0 and Sammy Kate.
She is survived by her three siblings, Mike, Steve and Kathy; as well as her father, Alfred; and all her nieces and nephews.
Barb's visitation will be from 12 p.m. (noon) until the time of the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., with the Rev. Ron Schock officiating.
