Ann Elizabeth McVetta, 73, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday morning, June 27, 2025, at Parkvue Community after a lengthy illness.

Ann was born June 13, 1952, in Sandusky, to the late Lee F. and Mary J. (Link) Weyer.

Ann graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1970 and went on to attend college at Ohio University. She was employed at Providence Hospital and Firelands Regional Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist and retired after 45 years of service. Ann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music and antiquing.

Ann is survived by her sisters, Mary Lee Shanley of Mystic, Connecticut, Amy (Dan) Brady of Phoenix, Arizona, Elizabeth (Mark) Markley of Huron, and Suzi Weyer of Port Clinton. She is also survived by Rod McVetta of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her two brothers, Steven and David Weyer; and her sister-in-law, Chris Weyer.

Friends may call from noon until time of memerial service at 1 p.m Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
