Anita J. Cantelli, 95, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at her home after a long illness.

She was born July 5, 1929, in Sandusky, to Quinto and Filomina (Vanucci) Cantelli.

Anita graduated from Sandusky High School in 1948. She was employed as Vice President at Cantelli Block and Brick for 50 years. She was also employed by Philco and New Departure for several years. Anita was a member of National Concrete Masonry Association, American Business Women's Association, I.A.B., and Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Sandusky. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and adored cats.

Anita is survived by her sister-in-law, Adriana Cantelli of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Salina (Richard) Fantuz, Natalie (Robert) Leffler, Rose (William) Chiormonte, Mary (Daniel) Macove, and Dorothy (Thomas) Winters; brothers, Paul (Evelyn) Cantelli and Raymond J. Cantelli; and nephews, Dennis Leffler and David Cantelli.

Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
