Amy was my best friend at Denison. I had no idea she had passed since we had fallen out of touch over the last few years. I am so sorry to hear this news-devastated really.

Amy was a dear friend, an incredible colleague, and an amazing reader of people and plays. I can´t begin to imagine what life and our profession are going to be like without her. I already miss her so much.

The loss of another IBC sister is always sad. Amy worked so hard to get the right protocols for her diagnosis. She wrote beautifully and did extensive research into her particular type of breast cancer. She will be missed, may she rest in peace.

I am heartbroken to learn of Amy's passing and am infuriated by how difficult everything always was to navigate with her diagnoses in the medical system. I am grateful to all of you in her online networks--I know you all helped so much over the course of her journey. If anyone has any news or information about Hero and Sissy I'd love to hear about where they are and if we can support their new caregivers. When I saw her last in December, she was making plans for them. I send condolences to all of Amy's friends and family. I know we are all glad she is no longer in pain and will remember her light always.

Amy was a valued, passionate Cancer support group member who helped others with her sharing, research and experience(s). Despite her own less than favorable trail of Physicians who often learned more from her and the IBC cancer we all share(d), she never gave up! Her spirit was beautiful, giving and one of a true warrior which rightfully earned her the group nickname " Xena"! You will be missed Amy, I did not know you authored a book but look forward to purchasing it and keeping it as a testiment to the light you truly were to ALL you encountered...Fly High sweet sister....so happy you are finally pain-free xxoo - Laura R.

Amy and I became friends via our cancer support group. She and I spent time texting and calling to talk. Sometimes it was dark and sad. Other times full of hope and joy. She was an inspiration about fighting and pursuing answers and results. We leaned on each other a couple of times when things were difficult for each of us. I will miss her so very much.

Amy was a bright light in our IBC group on Facebook and we all followed her journey. I am praying for her family, friends and Sissy and Hero, that everyone can find some comfort in this heartbreaking time.
